Ahead of the Nigerian Democratic Congress, NDC primary elections slated to hold on 29th May 2026, a group under the platform of Ebonyi Central Patriotic Congress has adopted Arc Christian Asaga Nwali as their preferred aspirant for the Ebonyi Central Senatorial Ticket of the Party. In a press conference held at Onueke Ezza South LGA, the President of the Group, Mr. Kingsley Ngwuta said their decision to support Arc Christian Asaga Nwali was based on his track records and passion to make life better for youths and people of Ebonyi Central zone.
He explained that the group was among the other groups who have been on the business mogul to indicate interest in the position under NDC, adding that it was the turn of Ikwo LGA to produce the senator that will represent the zone come 2027
“We, the members of Ebonyi Central Patriotic Congress, ECPC have unanimously endorsed Arc Christian Asaga Nwali as our preferred candidate to fly the NDC ticket for Ebonyi Central Senatorial zone in the 2027 general election. He is the most qualified person for the position, and that is why we kept on disturbing him to come out and contest under NDC.
“Our members are drawn from Ezza South, IKwo, Ezza North and Ishielu LGA. Our decision to support C-sagas is because of his positive track records and his outstanding disposition to reduce unemployment and bring development to our communities. He has done well as a private business man, and we are confident that he will do more if elected as the next senator for Ebonyi Central zone.
“We are therefore calling on all members of NDC in Ebonyi Central zone to go for quality representation, equity and a man we can trust with our mandate to deliver dividends of democracy to our people. We should do away with clannish sentiments and support Asaga Nwali knowing that it is the turn of Ikwo LGA to represent the zone in the Senate” Mr. Ngwuta stated.
The group calls on members of NDC to come out in their numbers to vote Asaga Nwali who they described as Peter Obi of Ebonyi State, stressing that a better Ebonyi Central zone is possible.
