The people of Ebonyi State have continued to pour encomiums on the Executive Governor of the state, Rt. Hon. Bldr. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, as he marks his 51st birthday anniversary, describing the moment as a celebration of “51 golden years” of impactful living and purposeful leadership.
In a vox pop conducted across key sectors of the state, prominent stakeholders lauded the governor’s strides in governance and his commitment to people-oriented policies anchored on his administration’s People’s Charter of Needs mantra.
The Honourable Commissioner for Lands and Survey, Chief Hon. Mathew Nwobashi, noted that Governor Nwifuru’s tenure has been marked by remarkable infrastructural development and strategic land reforms aimed at repositioning Ebonyi for sustainable growth. He described the governor as a visionary leader who has redefined governance by prioritizing the welfare of the masses.
Similarly, the Executive Chairman of Ikwo Local Government Area, Hon. Barr. Sunday Nwankwo, commended the governor for fostering peace and unity across communities in the state. According to him, the administration’s inclusive approach to governance has strengthened grassroots participation and restored confidence in public leadership.
Adding his voice, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on ICT University, Engr. Moses Nwangbo Okite, applauded Governor Nwifuru’s commitment to digital transformation and educational advancement. He observed that the governor’s investment in quality education and technology-driven initiatives has positioned Ebonyi as an emerging hub of innovation and learning.
On his part, the Permanent Member 2 of the Ebonyi State Universal Basic Education Board, Mr. Chijioke Nwuzor, highlighted the administration’s achievements in strengthening the basic education sector. He noted that improved infrastructure, teacher development programmes, and enhanced learning environments are clear indicators of the governor’s resolve to secure a brighter future for Ebonyi children.
The Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Hon. Comrade Douglas Ochishi, described the governor as a youth-friendly leader who has consistently empowered young people through skill acquisition programmes, employment opportunities, and inclusive governance. He said the governor’s policies have inspired hope and renewed confidence among the youth population.
Collectively, the stakeholders emphasized that Governor Nwifuru has transformed Ebonyi State through strategic interventions in education, healthcare delivery, human capital development, peace-building initiatives, and solid infrastructure. They observed that his leadership style has not only earned him admiration within the state but also recognition among Ebonyi indigenes and Nigerians in the diaspora.
According to them, the governor has “written the name of Ebonyi State with a golden pen,” attracting positive attention and elevating the state’s profile nationally and internationally.
They attributed his successes to divine providence, expressing gratitude to God for what they described as sending “a man after His heart” to lead the state at this critical time.
While congratulating the governor on his 51st birthday, the stakeholders called on the people of Ebonyi to continue supporting his administration’s policies and programmes to ensure sustained development and greater dividends of democracy.
They prayed for good health, wisdom, long life, and prosperity for Governor Nwifuru as he continues to steer the ship of progress and development in Ebonyi State.
