The Senator representing Ebonyi Central zone, Distinguished Senator Engr. Ken Eze has commended Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru on his outstanding move to enthrone permanent peace in Effuim, Ohaukwu Local Government Area of the State.

In a commendation letter addressed to the Governor, Senator Eze described him as an advocate and messenger of peace, who have demonstrated same with practical actions in resolving similar crisis.

The commendation letter reads;
“I, Senator Engr Kenneth Emeka Eze on behalf of the people of Ebonyi Central Senatorial District, heartily commend the Executive Governor of Ebonyi state, His Excellency Rt Hon Bldr. Francis Ogbanna Nwifuru for bringing to an end the protracted crisis between the people of Ezza Effium and Effium in Ohaukwu Local Government Area and restoration of peace to the area.

“Your Excellency, I wish to most sincerely thank and appreciate you for your courageous political will to end the crisis, as seen in all your efforts and sacrifices, which have today enthroned a lasting peace between the people of Ezza Effium and Effium who had harmoniously lived together before the unfortunate crisis.

“Onwa Ebonyi, your Bill to the State House of Assembly to legitimise the peace process is unprecedented, creating autonomous communities to address the issue of communal leadership in the area is quite remarkable, and the demarcation of the disputed land is simply a verdict of an unbiased jurist aimed to forestall further occurrence of such dispute. This to me is a strong statement in an unmistaken terms, affirming your unwavering commitment not only to extinguish the crisis but to enthrone an enduring peace in the area.

“You are not just an advocate and messenger of peace, you are a peacemaker. These you have demonstrated with practical actions in resolving similar crisis in other parts of the state. Let me inform you Your Excellency, that Ebonyi people are not taking for granted all the energy, efforts and resources you have committed to return peace to all warring parts of the state. Ebonyi people are grateful and happy with you.

“As you go about preaching and making peace across the state, it is my prayers, that God will continue to grant you all the peace, wisdom and knowledge you need to continue to lead the state to prosperity and greater development.

“I wish to use this medium to commend Ebonyi state House of Assembly for their supports to His Excellency in his efforts to return peace to the area.
