Ikwo LGA Chairmanship Aspirant, Chidi Nwode Picks APC Nomination Form, Accompanied by Youths, Notable Stakeholders

The Ikwo Chairmanship Consensus Aspirant for the forthcoming Local Government Council Election in Ebonyi State, Hon. Chidi Nwode, accompanied by members of Ikwo Noyo Youth Consultative Forum and other stakeholders of Ikwo Noyo Clan on Monday 19th January, 2026 picked his APC expression of interest and nomination form. Hon. Nwode alongside his supporters stormed APC secretariat Abakaliki for the forms.

Addressing the people of Ikwo Noyo at a mini reception held at Amusement park Abakaliki, the Chairmanship aspirant assured the people that if elected, he will be a chairman of both the youths and adults, rich and poor, and would concentrate on delivering dividends of democracy to the people of Ikwo Noyo clan.

He called on youth to unite across all the communities, ensure security in their domain and above all work towards development initiatives, stressing that he will empower Ikwo Noyo Youth and prove that youths can be entrusted with leadership position.

Speakers at the event including Mrs. Monica Ogada, Dr. Abraham Nweke, Hon. Monday Nwigbo, Dr. Obisi Nweke, Leader of Ikwo Legislative Council, representative of the five principal communities in Ikwo and Hon. Bensteve Ede thanked Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru and stakeholders of Ikwo Noyo for endorsing the candidacy of Hon. Chidi Nwode. They described him as a resourceful, intelligent and effective person who is very willing to lead the people to the promised land.

Others including Dr. Onyechi Nwankwo, Hon. John Ogodo, Mr. Sampson Nweke, Dr. Uche Ogah, Matthew Ojon and others called for total solidarity to the incoming chairman, assuring that he will not betray the people of Ikwo LGA.

The event attracted party faithful, women groups, cultural groups, youths and stakeholders from different communities in Ikwo LGA.
