The Executive Chairman of Ivo Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Emmanuel Ogbonna Ajah has joined other Nigerians to Mourn Former President Mohammed Buhari who died on Sunday after a brief illness in London.
His condolence message to the immediate family reads;
“With a saddened heart and in total resignation to the will of Allah, the Executive Chairman of Ivo LGA of Ebonyi State has extended his deep condolences to the family of ex-president Muhammadu Buhari on the passing on of the former president.
1. The former president served Nigeria with strength and valor, dedicating all his life to the patriotic duties of sustaining a unified Nigeria and a stronger nation before the eyes of the world.
2. The late president contributed immensely in the birthing of the most efficient party in Nigeria APC under which platform he ruled Nigeria for 8 years before handing power peacefully to the current president.
3. President Muhammadu Buhari has, over time, been described as the most disciplined leader in Nigeria. During his time in the military, he was seen to have championed policies, programs, and agendas that only promoted Nigeria as an indivisible entity. He was a symbol of national unity.
4. Muhammad Buhari stood for equity and fairness and ensured that there was strict adherence to the rule of law.
5. On his demise, Nigerians shall miss his impact but his legacy shall be a deep consolation.
6. The Executive Chairman of Ivo LGA therefore sends condolences to the family of the late ex-president, Muhammadu Buhari. He also commiserates with the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Federal Executive Council on this monumental loss of a hero of our time. He extends further condolences to the governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru and all the members of the great party, APC.
7. This loss is indeed, a colossal one. I pray that God Almighty grants his soul eternal rest and grants all of us the fortitude to bear this great national loss. Insha Allah. Amin.
