Lawmaker Nwakpu Distributes Over 100 Bags of Fertilizers, Rice Seedlings to Supporters

In a significant move towards fostering good governance and addressing the agricultural needs of his constituents, Hon. Ifeanyi Nwakpu, representing Ikwo North Constituency and Chairman of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly Committee on Solid Minerals, has distributed 100 bags of fertilizers, rice seedlings, and other essential farm inputs to farmers across the ten wards of Ikwo North Constituency.

The distribution event, held at his residence in Ndufu Echara, witnessed a gathering of esteemed farmers from the various wards, all selected to benefit from this initiative. The lawmaker emphasized that his Agricultural Empowerment is a testament to his commitment to good representation and delivering democratic dividends at the grassroots level. He highlighted his efforts to maintain an open-door administration characterized by transparency and accountability; a promise he made during his electionary campaign.

During the event, Hon. Ifeanyi urged beneficiaries which included youths, women, elders, and key stakeholders within the community to make use of the farm inputs provided. He stressed that their proper utilization is crucial for achieving the intended agricultural goals and boosting food security in the years to come. He also called on the beneficiaries to rally their support behind the APC-led administration in Ebonyi State, under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.

The event featured notable speakers, including Hon. James Eze Alaka, Hon. Ejiofor Nwinyim, Hon Nte Sunday, Prince Edward Ogalegu,Mrs Elizabeth Nweke among others praised the lawmaker for his transparent and accountable leadership style. They reiterated the importance of empowering local farmers who are dedicated to the development of the community, asserting their strong intention to re-elect Hon. Ifeanyi and Governor Nwifuru in the upcoming 2027 elections. The speakers commended the leadership’s focus on human capacity development, deeming it a significant milestone in the history of democracy in Ebonyi State.
