It was the turn of the Ikwo Local Government Development Centers to give assessment of thier performances to the visiting Ebonyi State House of Assembly Committee on Local Government, Chieftaincy and EBSIEC Matters with Ikwo Development Center ranking high in the scorecard of the Committee.

The Coordinator of the Development Center Hon Onyekachi Nwoba popularly called Bone was commended for the neatness of the Development Center and for embarking on various viable projects which include the construction of Nwafor Ucheji bridge, renovation of the dilapidated classroom building at Urban community primary school Ndufu Echara, renovation of the secretariate buildings, repairing of over twenty four boreholes in 18 villages, reconstruction of the village town hall at Nzashi, grading and laterating of 6 kilometers road at Obegu Eleke Ndufu Echara among others.

The elated Coordinator Hon Onyekachi Nwoba thanked the Committee for the visit and assessment, adding that he was just trying to complement the efforts of the state Governor Rt. Hon Francis Ogbonnia Nwifuru in developing the state, stressing that the visit will add more impetus into thier efforts.

The same excellent performance assessment was given to the Coordinator of Ikwo Central Development Center, Okpokpoeze Agubia where the Coordinator, Hon
ThankGod Oboko took the committee round the projects he embarked upon which include the construction of the Ngele Udeja bridge at Amuda Igbudu village, with another one at Uduku Igbudu village.

Other projects worthy of note include repairing of some boreholes, distribution of farm inputs to Farmers, rehabilitation of the victims of the inyimegu village crises.

The Coordinator appreciated the committee and promised to continue with the pace at which he has been doing as it has been his promise to complement the transformation agenda of the state Governor, Rt Hon. Francis Ogbonnia Nwifuru.

It was however a different narrative at Ikwo South Development Center where the Committee could not single out any project embarked upon. The environment was highly unkept and that the relationship between the Coordinator Hon. Mrs Chinasa Nwanchor and the management Committee members of the Development Center was not cordial.

A member of the House Committee, Hon. Mrs Chinyere Nwogbaga condemned the performances of the female Cordinator, adding that she did not represent the female folk well and charged her to improve on her performances.

The same was the case at Ndufu Ikwo Development Center, where the committee was not impressed by the number of projects on going as they were they only saw one graded road and culvert.

The Committee charged the Coordinator Hon. Ernest Ndidi Ejem to brace up to the responsibilities of developing his people and their community.

The Committee was relieved when they got to Ikwo South East Development Center where the Coordinator Hon. John Ogodo took the committee round the projects embarked upon which include the Primary Health Center at Nzashi village, Provision of borehole at Ndioduma village in Ndiagu Echara , restoration of peace in the area that has been clouded with crises for a long time and distribution of farm inputs.

At Ikwo East Development Center, the Coordinator Apostle Emma Mbam presented the projects he embarked on to the committee which include the ongoing renovation of the secretariate building, construction of a water Dam, grading and laterating of roads, restoration of lights at Ojon Enyigbuchiri .

At the completion of the visit, the Committee chairman Hon Goodluck Obinna Mbam and other members advised the non performing Coordinators to see reasons to join the State Governor Rt Hon Francis Ogbonnia Nwifuru in his quest to roundly develop the state and commended those that performed and implored them to continue with thier performances.
