Executive Chairman of Ikwo Local Government Area, Hon. Barr Sunday Basil Nwankwo has congratulated Labour unions and Workers in Nigeria, Ebonyi State and in Ikwo LGA. In a good well message to workers on this year’s celebration of May Day, the Chairman thanked workers for their dedication and commitment to achieving Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru led administration people’s charter of needs mantra, especially in areas of civil service.
Barr Nwankwo assured workers, especially in Ikwo LGA of continuous better working relationships and improved welfare, even as he calls on them to redouble their efforts inline with the saying that to whom much is given, much is being expected.
“On this year’s celebration of Worker’s day with the theme: Industrialization, Trade, and Decent Work for Social Justice.” I wish to join other leaders to commend the dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment of our workers and trade unions to the progress and development of our dear Ikwo LGA, Ebonyi State and the Nigeria nation.
The unwavering efforts of workers in both the public and private sectors is contributing meaningfully to the actualization of our dear Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru’s People’s Charter of needs mantra in all sectors.
As we celebrate this year’s workers day, I urge us to continue to support the blueprint of the number one worker in Ebonyi state, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Bldr. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, FNIOB, FCAI, GGCEHF, the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, who has kicked off the process of industrializing the State through the ongoing construction of Ebonyi Industrial City and other plans aimed at attracting investors and providing conducive environment for citizens, investors and all workers to thrive in the State.
