PDP, APC Governments have failed Nigerians, NRM Now Only Route for Nation’s Greatness – Says Coalition of Women Groups

A Socio-political organizations, under the auspices of Progressive Women for Change (PWFC) and Nigerian Women Society for Good Governance (WSGG), drawn from the All Progressives Congress(APC), Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA ), Labour Party (LP), and African Democratic Congress (ADC) in five states of the southeast geopolitical zone in Nigeria have declared to queue behind the National Resuce Movement (NRM) towards deepening the present democratic governance in the country.

The group’s declaration followed the worsening economic crisis and resurgence of terror attacks in some parts of the country.

In a statement jointly signed by Lady Ifeoma Nnadozie and Mrs Salome Nwodo, the Converners of the women organisations, lamented the current economic and security challenges impeding the efforts of Nigeria to overcome them and attain prosperity.

The southeast women regretted that past successive and present administrations in the country have failed the people as they lacked the needed capacity to effect good leadership and provide solutions to myriads of problems facing the country and her people.

The organizations insisted that the pattern of leaderships offered to Nigerians by these successive administrations are characterized by high -scale corruption, which according to them, negated basic democratic principles.

They maintained that time is now for all well-meaning Nigeria citizens, irrespective of religious, political and tribal backgrounds, to bring forward on the table, inputs and expertises in solving the numerous problems truncate development of the nation.

According to them, “NRM is a veritable platform, the only alternative and route to a greater Nigeria society. NRM’s ideologies touched on the well-meaning of the citizenry such as, wealths and job creations, industrial development, massive road unfrastructure, effective security archecture, improved education and health systems, and other numerous impactful developmental agendas for the country.

“Successive governments in Nigeria failed to demonstrate capacity, competence, and the political will to salvage the most populous African nation in the world from shackles of economic quagmires, insecurity and other teething problems truncating our collective desires for economic and infrastructural. And there’s no doubts NRM is poised to solve these festering challenges of this country”,the women posited.

The Nigerian women lauded the leadership strides of the National Chairman of National Resuce Mission, Chief Edozie Njoku and affirmed the chairman’s capacity towards deepening internal democracy in party’s decision-making process.

According to them, “we are visiting our various local electoral wards in our respective states of origin to formally register as NRM members, interface with critical stakeholders of the party at all levels aimed at providing necessary supports to the National Working Committee of the pàrty.

While reiterating their unwavering committments and determination to continue in playing significant roles in enthronement of true democratic governance in the country under NRM, the Southeast women urged lovers of democracy to join National Rescue Mission in its crusade for a responsive governance in the country.
